Taro root is originated from Asia but now can be planted in many other countries. In Vietnam, Taro with better quality is planted in Northern mid-land and highland. It is starchy root with white flesh and red or purple specks throughout. It take 8- 10 months to plant and harvest the crop of taro. There are 2 seasons the farmers can plant the taro, winter or spring. One tuber of taro has weight from 0.5 - 2 kg.
