Longan fruit is yellow-brown skin that grows hanging clusters. The fruit tastes mildly sweet and juice similar to litchi, rambutan, guarana...The best is to taste longan fresh. We preserve longan by drying them then packing them in plastic bag or bottle. Longan season in summer (July - August) but in some parts of the country people get 2 crops a year.
Longan provides vitamins, especially C, minerals, potassium, copper, Magnesium, Manganese....Longan protects against chronic diseases, improve digestion, lowers inflammation, may treat insomnia, improve memory function, boots libido, relieves anxiety, may aid weight loss, regulates blood pressure, prevent anemia, manage cancer, and enhances skin health.
